about me
Hi! I'm Amy! Mother of 3 boys (and a pit mix puppy) and lover of all things family and tradition.
I'm a New Jersey photographer, based out of Morris County, specializing in lifestyle portrait photography which documents your life and your family in a natural, unforced way.
My infatuation with photography started back in 2003 during my junior year of high school, when I first picked up my mother's vintage Pentax film camera and started shooting. There was something magical about watching the images I captured come to life in my photography class dark room. From then on, I was hooked.
In college, my main studies focused on Marketing & Communication but I always made sure a photography class was part of my curriculum every semester.
After spending 12 years behind a corporate desk after graduation, I always felt like something was missing from my professional life.
Witnessing the birth of my three sons and experiencing the loss of my mother at a young age, it became more important to me than ever to document the special, even mundane moments of daily life. I love capturing them for my family and I would be thrilled to capture them for yours.
Most photographers are self-taught, but I am constantly seeking out formal photography education to sharpen my talents so I can pass them on to you. I am a graduate of the New York Institute of Photography (Graduate Certificate in Professional Photography) and am a member of the Professional Photographers of America (PPA).
My Shooting Style

I sincerely love the art of photography and take every measure necessary to ensure that each special moment is captured in a natural, unforced way. Sure, from time to time, I shoot the obligatory "smile at the camera" photos with Grandma if that's what you're looking for. But, for the most part, I'm a lifestyle photographer which means that my main goal is to capture moments in an artistic manner and to find the special moments in the everyday without stiff poses, backdrops or fake lighting. In other words, I deliver candid shots of real-life moments.
I use sunlight as my only lighting source, utilizing the beauty of natural shadows and highlights as they occur in real life. I enjoy these photos much more than the posed "SAY CHEESE!" shots with bright, unnatural studio lighting and if you agree, you're in the right place. If you are looking for overly photoshopped images, unfortunately I am not the photographer for you. I want to feel something when I look at your photos and I want you to as well. So we keep it as natural as possible.

We get together with family and friends to experience life's most precious milestones with the people we love. I am thrilled to be there for you to capture these moments with beautiful images you can cherish forever.
I can't wait to meet you!
